Ticket holders will gather for The Ashley Lauren Foundation’s much anticipated Inaugural “Cabaret For Hope” sponsored in part by The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation. \nMonica Vermeulen\, Founder/CEO stated\, “We are so excited to have Constantine Maroulis as our Guest Artist. Constantine Maroulis is an accomplished actor\, producer\, singer and songwriter best known for his Tony-nominated performance in Rock of Ages and his epic run as a finalist during the heyday of American Idol. His new original album\, Until I’m Wanted\, will be released in early 2020. \nThis “Broadway Themed” evening of entertainment is a collaboration of many theatre groups including The Ashley Lauren Foundation Theatre Ensemble\, Phoenix Productions\, Premier Theatre Company\, Exit 82 Theatre Co.\, Holmdel Theatre Company\, Spring Lake Theatre Company\, Zzak G. Participants will receive a t-shirt\, a closed scenic course throughout Brielle\, and access to an after party with their registration. After the race\, there will be a ton of free family fun for participants at Brielle Ale House that includes face painting and bounce houses\, a barbecue\, drink tickets\, a push-up/plank challenge\, music\, gift basket raffles\, 50/50 and so much more! \nRegistration is from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Brielle Ale House\, located at 601 Union Lane in Brielle; the 5K starts at 10:30 a.m. and the 1-Mile Walk/Fun Run (one-mile) at 10:45 a.m. (strollers welcome). Each exhibit runs for a month in Red Bank’s popular Galleria. She takes no commission and asks only that the artists donate a portion of their sales to their favorite charity. \nThe next exhibit in the series\, Capturing the Game\, will showcase fine artist Mike Kupka whose work is inspired by music\, movies and his love of sports. Kupka’s pieces appear worldwide in galleries and are in the private collections of numerous celebrities and athletes. A Rahway\, NJ native\, he is a first-place winner of Beckett’s 10th annual Sports Gallery Contest and was named one of U.S. Art Magazine’s 25 Artists You Should Know. \nKupka’s portrait of Ozzy Osbourne caught the eye of a Disney Company representative that led to an eight-year stint as a licensed artist for the Disney Company. He is currently licensed by Major League Baseball\, as well as\, the estates of Thurman Munson\, Lou Gehrig and Jackie Robinson. Mike has also produced artwork for Lucas Films\, King Features\, Topps\, NFL\, NBA and NHL. \nProceeds from the sale of Kupka’s work will benefit The Ashley Lauren Foundation. Founded in 2005\, the foundation provides direct financial\, material and emotional assistance to New Jersey families dealing with a pediatric cancer diagnosis along with many programs developed to bring smiles to the children. \n“i’ve watched a lot of people close to me go through cancer\,” Kupka explained when asked how he selected his charity. “I can’t imagine what these kids have to deal with\, at such an early age.
