DESCRIPTION:The Inaugural “Delicious Orchards Tractor Pull to benefit The Ashley Lauren Foundation”\, sponsored by World Subaru & World Jeep\, Chrysler\, Dodge & Ram\, will be held on Saturday\, May 18\, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Delicious Orchards\, located at 320 Rt. 34 in Colts Neck\, NJ. This fun-filled event will assist the Foundation in its mission to provide Hope and Help for Children with Cancer who reside in New Jersey. Community support of this event will enable the Foundation to help hundreds of children who are battling cancer with assistance they and their families desperately need. \n“The Delicious Orchards family couldn’t be more excited to partner with The Ashley Lauren Foundation for our first ever tractor pull\, where people pull a tractor! We know it will be a fun day for everyone and all for a good cause\,” said Mike McDonald\, Co-Owner and Vice-President of Delicious Orchards. \nThere will be 15 teams of 10 people each competing. Yes\, people will be pulling the tractor with a rope! Each team\, collectively\, must raise a minimum of $1\,000 to compete the day of the event. Each participant must be 18 years of age or older and in good physical health. There will be prizes for the “Fastest Pull” and “Most Money Raised”. Spectators are free and there will also be family friendly activities and games at the event\, such as face painting\, cornhole\, ring toss\, tire bowling and so much more! Antique tractors will be on display for attendees of all ages to view. Guests enjoyed the Big Band sound of The Ed Conte Orchestra\, our Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin impersonators and our Andrew Sisters singers along with a beautiful 1941 Cadillac Convertible that was on display. We had an amazing trio of honorees which included Jeremy Grunin (Hope Award)\, Joe Leone Introna (Humanitarian Award) and Lori Kirsch (Volunteer of the Year Award). DESCRIPTION:Fifty years ago\, in 1967\, the musical You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown opened off Broadway. Now it is coming to Greenbriar II in Brick as a fundraiser for The Ashley Lauren Foundation\, a Spring Lake non-profit that provides Hope and Help for Children with Cancer in New Jersey through financial\, material and emotional support along with many programs for the children. \nThis multi-generational production is being directed by Monica Vermeulen (Brick) who is also the Founder/CEO of The Ashley Lauren Foundation. Musical Direction is by Norman “Doc” Hart (Brick). Reuniting after playing opposite each other in the same roles thirty years ago are Windber R. Brandt (Toms River) as Charlie Brown and Renee S. Tompkins (Wall Township) as Lucy Van Pelt. Rounding out the cast is Corey Crawford (Beachwood)\, as Linus\, Maria D’Amato (Long Branch) as Sally Brown; Windber’s son\, Windber R. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for the ultimate Sunday Funday\, all while showing your support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Brielle Ale House is hosting its inaugural Run for Hope 5K & Fun Run to benefit The Ashley Lauren Foundation\, a nonprofit based out of Spring Lake and serving all of New Jersey\, which provides financial assistance\, emotional support and many other programs to children and families suffering from the hardships of pediatric cancer\, on Sunday\, September 24\, 2017. \nAll proceeds from this event will go to The Ashley Lauren Foundation. Participants will receive a t-shirt\, a closed scenic course throughout Brielle\, and access to an after party with their registration. After the race\, there will be a ton of free family fun for participants at Brielle Ale House that includes face painting and bounce houses\, a barbecue\, drink tickets\, a push-up/plank challenge\, music\, gift basket raffles\, 50/50 and so much more! \nRegistration is from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Brielle Ale House\, located at 601 Union Lane in Brielle; the 5K starts at 10:30 a.m. and the 1-Mile Walk/Fun Run (one-mile) at 10:45 a.m. (strollers welcome). The after party begins at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $35 per person\, $20 for 12 and under\, and kids 4 and under are FREE. HAIRSPRAY\, winner of eight Tony Awards\, including Best Musical\, is a family-friendly musical\, piled bouffant-high with laughter\, romance and deliriously tuneful songs. It’s 1962 in Baltimore and the lovable plus-size teen\, Tracy Turnblad has only one desire“ to dance on the popular “Corny Collins show.” When her dream comes true\, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. DESCRIPTION:On February 25\, 2017\, over 350 guests gathered at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa to enjoy The Ashley Lauren Foundation’ much anticipated 6th Annual Butterfly Ball “DANCING FOR OUR STARS” and raise funding and awareness for children suffering from cancer. Investors Bank was this year’s honoree. \nMonica Vermeulen\, Founder/CEO stated\, “We are so grateful to all of our sponsors\, auction donors\, entertainers and guests for their incredible support. Our new and exciting dance competition was enjoyed by everyone in attendance. We are so grateful to our dancers who worked many hours rehearsing and raising funds for our Ashley Lauren kids. The dancers put on an amazing performance. Our dancers included Carol Stillwell\, President/CEO of Stillwell-Hansen Inc. who did a beautiful waltz which transitioned into rock and roll with Joe Hasson of Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Red Bank.; Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders Deputy Director Serena DiMaso who did an amazing salsa with Andre Gosselin also from Fred Astaire; Monmouth County Freeholder Tom Arnone who did a high energy and exciting disco with Ashley Lauren Vermeulen and Tom Corley President/CPA of Cerefice & Co. and published author who did a fun hip-hop dance with Ashley Lauren Vermeulen. The winner of both the People’s Choice Award and the Judge’s Award was Carol Stillwell.
