ASSISTANCE & PROGRAMS

Our goal is for you and your family to focus on your child during this time. Because we support so many families all throughout NJ, we do our best to try to financially assist families if necessary. Here are an example of some expenses that may be covered, if qualified:

* Household Bills: mortgage/rent, utilities, car insurance, etc.

* Medical Bills/Equipment: co-pays, payment on outstanding medical bills, medical equipment

* Funeral Expenses: flowers, programs, funeral home, burial/cremation, etc.

Our financial assistance program works by us paying the bill directly, not sending a check or money to the family. We do not support nor advertise individual or family GoFundMe pages, however, 100% of any direct donation sent to our Foundation for your child will be mailed to you via check.  We do not cover expenses unrelated to the Foundation child directly.

Here at ALF, we understand what you are going through while journeying pediatric cancer. Often we see parents who just want someone who will take the time to listen from someone who “gets it” and understands.

Though we are not licensed to give professional or medical advice, we can and will always be a listening ear. 24/7/365 cancer does not take a holiday, and neither do we.  We will be there to support you and your family every step of the way.

Sometimes, needs arise within a family that are unexpected. In the past, we have helped on a case-by-case basis with new appliances, clothing, formula/diapers, grocery cards for food, Wawa gift cards for gas, hospital meal vouchers, DoorDash cards, and so much more.

Ashley Lauren Foundation/Nahum Family Spring Party

Our Spring Party is a fun-filled day on the Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach! The Ashley Lauren Foundation children and their families enjoy boardwalk rides, lunch & ice cream.

Annual Holiday Party

The Holiday Season is very meaningful to The Ashley Lauren Foundation. The ALF Family Christmas Party is a wonderful, fun-filled day for the children and their families to enjoy the Holiday Season. Our Christmas Party is full of music, dancing, face painting, lunch, special guests, holiday gifts, Santa, and more! Our Christmas Party provides happiness as well as many smiles and beautiful memories for the children and their families.

Our “Making Dreams Come True” program was developed with a passion to make a difference in the life of an ALF child by making their dream come true.

We understand that every birthday for a child battling cancer is truly worth celebrating. We help to make your child feel extra special on their birthday!

We call on the local community and the community at large to “adopt” Amazon items on your child’s Amazon Registry. All the gifts are shipped directly to the child’s house.
