Our Mission Statement & History

Hope & Help for Children with Cancer in New Jersey

Unlike national organizations that fund research, we are an independent, New Jersey based non-profit organization, working hands on with each family. The Ashley Lauren Foundation depends on the support of the community-at-large in order to provide immediate relief for the daily burdens thrust upon those who are battling pediatric cancer.

Please pray for our Ewings sarcoma warrior, Gio!
Here is an update from mom:
Gio had a very difficult day at the clinic. His heart rate was high and he had a mild fever, which were the first warning signs. When trying to access his port, it took over two hours, multiple nurses, and caused him extreme distress—something very unusual for him. The port wouldn’t work properly and started bleeding, indicating he likely needed a platelet transfusion.
Despite a “normal” chest X-ray, his fever worsened, and he had painful mouth sores from chemo. He was admitted due to high infection risk and started on IV antibiotics. After finally accessing his port and starting the transfusion, he began bleeding heavily and uncontrollably from the site. The vascular team tried everything but couldn’t stop the bleeding, so they switched to an ultrasound-guided IV and de-accessed the port. Another round of platelets was ordered. He has been getting multiple bags of blood and platelets to help clot.
Please help the family as they have been spending tons of money on meals each night for this emergency visit!
